What is a cube number?
Cube numbers look like this 2³, 3³, 4³, 5³, 6³ and so on.
When you cube a number, you multiply it by itself and then by itself again.
Example:
Two cubed 2³ = 2 x 2 x 2 = 8
You must remember to multiply it in steps:
2³ = 2 x 2 x 2 = 8
Step 1: 2 x 2 = 4
Step 2: 4 x 2 = 8
Example:
Five cubed 5³ = 5 x 5 x 5 = 125
You must remember to multiply in steps:
5³ = 5 x 5 x 5 = 125
Step 1: 5 x 5 = 25
Step: 25 x 5 = 125
