They say Thailand is shaped like the head of an elephant, you have to look pretty hard to see it! The jungle is home to these big animals and also to leopards, tigers and even carnivorous plants.

The highest mountain in Thailand is Doi Inthanon and the longest river is the Mekong River, which runs for 2,703 miles!

What is Thailand like?

Thailand has a tropical climate with a monsoon season from November to March. The weather is almost always hot and humid, especially in the south.

The country has incredible natural landscapes and a lot of lotus flowers, which are the favourite flower in Thailand. The interesting thing about these aquatic plants is that although they live above the surface, they are actually rooted in the mud!
