How many seconds are there in a minute?
There are 60 seconds in a minute.
- 1 minute = 60 seconds
- 2 minutes = 120 seconds (60 + 60 or 60 x 2)
- 3 minutes = 180 seconds (60 + 60 + 60 or 60 x 3)
- 4 minutes = 240 seconds (60 x 4)
- 5 minutes = 300 seconds (60 x 5)
- 6 minutes = 360 seconds (60 x 6)
- 7 minutes = 420 seconds (60 x 7)
- 8 minutes = 480 seconds (60 x 8)
- 9 minutes = 540 seconds (60 x 9)
- 10 minutes = 600 seconds (60 x 10)
It might look difficult but the 60 times table is the same as the 6 times table, we just add a zero at the end of each number!
