Remember, a number sentence is true when both sides are equal.

Question

Are these number sentences true or false?

8 ÷ 2 = 4

The sentence is true. Both sides of the sentence are equal.

10 ÷ 5 = 3

The sentence is false. 10 ÷ 5 = 2, not 3.

30 ÷ 10 = 20

The sentence is false. 30 ÷ 10 = 3, not 20.
