What is the mode?
The mode is the number that appears most often from a list of numbers.
Example:
4, 3, 4, 2, 6, 4, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4
The number which appears the most is number 4. The mode is 4.
What is the median?
The median is the number that is in the middle.
Example:
15 ,6, 9, 23, 2
Step 1: Put the numbers in order from smallest to biggest:
2, 6, 9, 15, 23
Step 2: See which number is in the middle position.
2, 6, 9, 15, 23
Number 9 is in the middle. The median is 9.
