Prefixes: in- and un-

In this level, we are going to look at words starting with in- and un-.

 

When adding the prefix in-, the meaning of the base word often changes to the opposite, or 'not' something. For example, incorrect is the opposite of correct.

 

When adding the prefix un-, the meaning of the base word changes to the opposite. For example, unwell is the opposite of well.
