Using conjunctions to express time, place and cause
Using conjunctions can make sentences more complex and interesting by connecting related ideas together.
Here are some examples of conjunctions expressing time, place, and cause:
Time conjunctions: after, before, when, while, as, until, since, once, as soon as, by the time.
Place conjunctions: above, below, between, inside, outside, near, next to, behind, in front of, across.
Cause conjunctions: because, since, so, therefore, as a result, due to, owing to, thanks to, on account of, in order to.
With this worksheet, students choose the correct conjunction to complete the sentences and then create sentences of their own.
